Daily Itinerary
Day 1 - November 3 – Depart the USA
Your pilgrimage begins as you depart on your international flight.
Day 2 - November 4 – Arrive in Amman, Jordan
You will be welcomed to Amman, Jordan by our representative and transferred to your hotel at the Dead Sea for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 - November 5 – Petra
Travel south on the Kings Highway to visit the city of Petra. Its entrance passes through a long, narrow gorge known as the Siq and can only be accessed by carriage, horseback, or on foot. Once inside the city, marvel at the intricate
detail of a city cut into the cliff sides of rose-colored rock. Return to the Dead Sea for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 4 - November 6 – Mount Nebo / Baptismal Site / Cross into Israel at King Hussein Bridge / Jericho / Jordan Valley / Tiberias
After a late checkout, visit Mount Nebo, where Moses caught a glimpse of the Promised Land. On a clear day, you can see all the way across the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea to the rooftops of Jerusalem and Bethlehem. Visit the baptismal site on the Jordan River, which is believed to be in the area where our Lord was baptized by John the Baptist. You will cross the King Hussein bridge into Israel and view the city of Jericho, destroyed by Joshua and believed to be the oldest city in the world as you begin your journey north up the Jordan Valley to the Galilee. Arrive at your hotel in Tiberias for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 5 - November 7 – Boat Ride / Magdal / Mount of Beatitudes / Tabgha / Capernaum
Cross the waters of the Sea of Galilee on a very special boat ride, complete with an onboard worship service. Visit the ruins of Magdala, the hometown of Mary Magdalene, and the site where Yeshua undoubtedly had visited. Visit the peaceful Mount of Beatitudes that overlooks the Sea of Galilee. On this hill, Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount. Stop at Tabgha, where the feeding of the 5,000 is remembered at the Church of the Loaves and Fish. Travel to Capernaum, the center of Jesus’ ministry in the Galilee. Visit the synagogue that stands on the site where Jesus taught. Recall His teaching and preaching the gospel of the kingdom. Return to your hotel for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 6 - November 8 – Tel Dan / Caesarea Philippi / Golan Heights
We will spend our time in northern Galilee today. Journey north to one of Israel’s ancient boundary markers, Tel Dan, and view Abraham’s Gate and the altar King Jeroboam built in the north. Close by, we will make a visit
to Caesarea Philippi, where Peter proclaimed, “You are the Christ.” Travel through the Golan Heights and better understand their strategic importance to Israel’s security.
Day 7 - November 9 – Bet Shean / Gan HaShlosha / Gideon’s Spring / Nazareth / Tzippori
Visit the ruins of Bet Shean, which was part of the Decapolis of Jesus’ day. It is the only city of the Decapolis located on the west side of the Jordan River. As we make our way south, visit the beautiful national park of Gan HaShlosha, with its natural springs and swimming year-round. Cross the Jezreel Valley to Gideon’s Spring (Ein Harod), where God chose Gideon’s army of 300 by observing how they drank from the spring. Visit Nazareth, Jesus’ boyhood home, and Mount Precipice, where Jesus was rejected by those in the synagogue. Finally, visit Tzipori, where some believe the Lord’s early father worked in the construction of the city. Return to our hotel for dinner and preparation to leave the Galilee in the morning.
Day 8 - November 10 – Megiddo / Mount Carmel / Caesarea Maritima / Jaffa / Jerusalem
Follow an ancient caravan route through the Jezreel Valley to Tel Megiddo, an exciting archaeological dig with layers of twenty different cities, all built on top of each other. View Mount Carmel and recall Elijah’s dramatic victory over the prophets of Baal. You will travel to Caesarea by the Sea on the Mediterranean coastline. It was here that Cornelius the Centurion and his household were saved and baptized, and it was also where Paul made his defense before Festus and King Agrippa prior to his final journey to Rome. Drive down the coast to Jaffa, visiting the port where Jonah fled from the call of God on his life. Arrive in the capital city of Jerusalem to look over the city before checking in at our hotel for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 9 - November 11 – Mount of Olives / Garden of Gethsemane / Mount Zion / Bethlehem / Shepherds’ Field
Stand atop the Mount of Olives as Yeshua did and enjoy a remarkable view of the “Golden City” of Jerusalem. Forty days after His resurrection, Jesus ascended into heaven from the Mount of Olives. Walk the Palm Sunday
Road down the Mount of Olives. Pray in the Garden of Gethsemane amongst the olive trees in the Kidron Valley across from the walls of Jerusalem. View Bethlehem and Shepherds’ Field where angels made the proclamation that
the Savior of the world had been born. Time for shopping will be given today.
Day 10 - November 12 – Masada / Ein Gedi / Qumran
Journey into the Judean wilderness and south along the Dead Sea shoreline to visit the spectacular mountaintop fortress of Masada built by Herod. Masada is famous for being the last stronghold of the Jewish rebellion against the Romans. From the top of Masada, the Roman camps and siege ramp can still be seen. Walk the paths of Ein Gedi, where David hid from Saul. Go to the shores of the Dead Sea to feel the saltiest water on earth! Visit the remains of an ancient community near the shores of the Dead Sea at Qumran. In the caves near here, Bedouins discovered what became known as the Dead Sea Scrolls. Return to Jerusalem for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 11 - November 13 – Temple Mount / Pool of Bethesda / Via Dolorosa / Church of the Holy Sepulchre/ Genesis Land
An unusual day is in store as we go up onto the Temple Mount platform to walk where some of the most holy priestly activities took place and where Yeshua was circumcised and dedicated to God by His parents as an infant. Close by is the remains of the Pool of Bethesda, where the lame man of 38 years was given his healing, as stated in John 5. Walk the Via Dolorosa, the way of suffering, to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, one of the possible sites of the crucifixion and resurrection of our Lord. Finally, close the day with a visit to Genesis Land to get a feel of what the living conditions were like during the first century in Israel.
Day 12 - November 14 – City of David / Hezekiah’s Tunnel - Pool of Siloam / Southern Wall Excavations / Western Wall / Jewish Quarter
A very full day of sightseeing is planned today. We begin on the southeastern side of the city of Jerusalem - the City of David. Hezekiah’s Tunnel is in this area and was the building project of King Hezekiah to provide water to the
city of Jerusalem in case of siege. Stand on the steps of the Pool of Siloam, where Jesus healed the blind man. Visit the Jerusalem Archaeological Park, including the Southern Wall Excavations. Pray alongside the Jewish faithful
at the Western Wall. Step back in time to walk through the Jewish Quarter, which was destroyed in the War of Independence and rebuilt after the Six-Day War.
Day 13 - November 15 – Model City - Israel Museum / Garden Tomb / Gordon’s Calvary / Cross Allenby Bridge / Amman
View the Model City of Jerusalem, which gives an outstanding overview of what the city looked like during the Roman occupation in the first century. Also located here is the Israel Museum, which houses artifacts dating back
to the Canaanite era and earlier. Take time to reflect on the agony of the cross at Gordon’s Calvary and the miraculous reality of the resurrection at the Garden Tomb. Cross the Allenby Bridge into Jordan for check-in, dinner, and overnight in your Amman hotel.
Day 14 - November 16 – Depart Amman. Return to the USA
Return home with a transformed faith and memories to last a lifetime!
